Advanced Muscle Integration Technique (AMIT) is just one of the many exclusive and revolutionary treatment methods we offer here in our office.
Mesa Chiropractic PLLC's Dr. Patterson is 1 of only 5 chiropractors in the state of Arizona that is trained in AMIT.
Advanced Muscle Integration Technique is a specific, systematic functional muscle assessment exam and treatment program where we test over 200 individual muscles of the body for normal function.
After determining which muscles are aberrant (not functioning at 100% ability), the aberrant muscles are treated so that they can be restored to optimal function.
At Mesa Chiropractic PLLC, we offer a special kind of therapy called cervical traction.
Cervical traction is an alternative treatment for neck pain, helping people avoid the need for medication or surgeries.
This technique has shown to be both highly effective and fast-acting, with most patients experiencing vast relief in just a few sessions.
Cervical traction devices lightly pull the head away from the neck to reduce pressure on the spine by pulling or separating the vertebrae.
Pressure and pain is alleviated by stretching the spinal vertebrae and muscles.
Peripheral neuropathy refers to the conditions that result from the damage or dysfunction of one or more peripheral nerves.
Peripheral nerves are nerves attached to the spinal cord that carry messages to and from the spinal cord and brain to and from the rest of the body.
If these nerves are damaged or dysfunctional, communication is interrupted between the brain and other parts of the body, and this can impair muscle movement, prevent normal sensation in the arms and legs, and cause severe pain or numbness.
Here at Mesa Chiropractic PLLC, we incorporate many physical therapies, or physiotherapy modalities in our treatments to help decrease inflammation in acute injuries or chronic pain.
Our most common physiotherapy treatment is Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS).
Electrical stimulation is a therapy in which pads that stick to the skin send electric impulses into the muscles and nerves.
During EMS, the impulses sent to the muscles makes them contract.
By causing repeated muscle contractions, blood flow improves, helping repair injured muscles.
At Mesa Chiropractic PLLC, we offer soft tissue and massage therapies which may include trigger point therapy and differing massage techniques like Swedish and Cross Friction massage.
Soft tissue therapy is a massage-type treatment of soft tissue injury, pain and dysfunction.
Soft tissues include muscles, fascia (connective tissue), ligaments and tendons.
Soft tissues are often overused and overloaded.
They also shorten and lengthen with use.
This produces all kind of aches, pains and injuries.
