Thank you for visiting the website of Momentum Health Chiropractic, located at 6680 Bay Laurel Place, Ste G in Avila Beach, CA. We understand how important it is to choose a chiropractor that is right for you. It is our belief that educating our patients is a very important part of the success we see in our office. David R Sedghi DC has treated over 1000 patients ranging from 1 week old to age 99.
Dr. Sedghi will tell you like it is, and if he can't help you - will refer you to someone who can. Most people think that a chiropractor pops, cracks or snaps back pain away, but there is so much more to the profession. In 1895 the first chiropractic adjustment was delivered to a man that had lost the ability to hear in one of his ears. Following an adjustment to his spine, the man explained that his hearing had been restored.
While this is not the most common result of chiropractic care, it is an example of one of the many conditions chiropractic care has helped over the last century. At Momentum Health Chiropractic, we are committed to providing the best quality patient care available.

Services
For the past 5 years Dr. David Sedghi has lived, practiced and taught in the Bay Area, but he was born and raised here in SLO and home has been calling him back for some time.
He discovered the power of Chiropractic after working as a laborer post undergrad and becoming injured.
After one adjustment, he couldn't believe how much better he felt.
He then pursued a Chiropractic career in the Bay Area and after five years, decided to come back home to help the community that had helped to raise him.

Manual manipulation of the spine and other joints in the body have been around for a long time.
Ancient writings from China and Greece dating between 2700 B.C. and 1500 B.C. mention spinal manipulation and the maneuvering of the lower extremities to ease low back pain.
The primary focus of chiropractic is simply to adjust the spine and remove those things which interfere with the body's natural normal healing ability.

Chiropractors understand that one of the main causes of pain and disease is the misalignment and abnormal motion of the vertebrae in the spinal column called a subluxation.
Chiropractic works by removing these subluxations in the spine, thereby relieving pressure and irritation on the nerves, restoring joint mobility, and returning the body back to a state of normal function.
Numerous studies have demonstrated that chiropractic care is one of the most effective treatments for back pain, neck pain, headaches, whiplash, sports injuries and many other types of musculoskeletal problems.

Chiropractic doctors practice natural, drugless, non-invasive health care and rely on the body's ability to self-heal.
Sounds ideal, but just how does it work?
Like other health-care providers, we follow a standard routine to gain information about the patient.
We consult, review the case history, conduct a physical examination, and we may request laboratory analyses and/or x-rays.
Unlike other health-care providers, however, chiropractic physicians also conduct a careful analysis of the patient's structure and pay particular attention to the spine.
