Beaverton chiropractor Dr. Jonathan Preiss has been caring for his patients for nearly three decades with safe and natural chiropractic care. After graduating with honors from Portland's own Western States Chiropractic College, he first made his home in Tucson, Arizona. Missing Portland, Oregon, he moved back in 1994 where he has been caring for patients with varying health problems.

Not only does he successfully treat traditional back pain, but he has helped thousands of satisfied people suffering from a variety of health disorders such as acid reflux, migraines, fatigue, asthma to name a few. Our mission at Chiropractic Art & Science is simply to serve you. We provide excellent chiropractic care to help our patients reach and exceed their health goals.

We assess the patient as a whole. We want to address the main concern, but also lead you into a lifestyle of being pain-free. We do all of this by offering an evidence-based approach to chiropractic care by utilizing chiropractic manipulation, soft-tissue techniques, therapeutic rehabilitation, and a variety of chiropractic services to help achieve your health goals.
Services
We specialize in correcting your body's misalignments.
Our goal is to ensure that your spine and the rest of your body are working harmoniously.
To do so, we will help you develop a plan that will require light stretching, some exercise, chiropractic care, and a healthy diet.
Corrective exercises are the use of bodily movements and/or postures to restore desirable changes in diseased or injured tissues.
The corrective exercises are movement strategies that minimize or eliminate compensation.
Corrective exercises should precede more integrated exercises, because they can cue the patient's motor system to respond in a more desirable way and assist in removing or improving biomechanical constraints.
If you've ever gone to a social event where you didn't know anyone, you know how uncomfortable that can make you feel.
Our goal is to eliminate every shred of apprehension and make you feel at home.
Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it's important that our relationship can go the distance.
We've found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance.
If you haven't had time to complete them prior to your visit, don't worry, we'll have them handy for you when you arrive.
You'll enjoy that we run on time!
The doctor appreciates that your time is valuable and you can depend on us to be there for you when you arrive.
Spinal problems can be complicated and our office takes the time to make sure you know what we have found.
You will watch a brief video explaining the spine and the nervous system.
This will also help you understand what you will be seeing on your x-rays if x-rays were taken.
You will have plenty of time to ask any and all questions that you may have regarding your health.
You've decided on a natural, drug free approach to a high level of wellness.
A typical visit to our office will begin with a warm greeting from our team when you arrive in our reception area.
You've already learned that we run on time, so you will NEVER sit in a waiting room.
In fact, we don't have one!
Your treatment begins when you arrive which will may include several movement therapies such as posture exercises, spinal flexibility movements, balance techniques, as well as your chiropractic adjustment.
Whether you are paying cash, have private insurance or are insured under a Personal Injury Protection (PIP) or Worker's Comp Claim, our billing department is committed to making sure you know all of the details about your payment options.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover as well as Care Credit, debit cards, checks and cash.
Our billing department is happy to do a complimentary verification of your chiropractic benefits during your first visit.
Most insurance companies have chiropractic coverage and if yours does then we will gladly bill them on your behalf.
