Hello, my name is Dr. Greg Cruz. I am a chiropractor and muscle activation specialist. I graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas Texas in August of 2002. In addition to the 9 adjusting techniques taught in school, I learned a tenth low force instrument adjusting technique while in school. In 2005 I was fortunate to be introduced to muscle activation.
This additional technique allows me to pinpoint areas of muscular inhibition and help people heal more quickly and completely. My passion in practice is to help people live a healthy more active lifestyle. I help people be able to do what they love and love what they do now and for the years to come. I have firsthand experience with not being able to function due to a sports injury in my early 20's.
I credit the chiropractor and the chiropractic care that I received from him for my current health and my decision to become a chiropractor myself. At Modern Health Chiropractic, our goal is to help improve your health so you can live life to the fullest.

We all know that our brain controls our bodies, but we don't really think about what that means.
Take a moment to think about this, YOU experience every moment of your life through your nervous system; which is made up of the brain, spinal cord and nerves.
Every sight, smell, touch, taste and feeling is processed, regulated and adapted to by your nervous system.
Think back to the last time you really enjoyed something, felt pain, watched a movie, cried after receiving bad news; all of that is the function of your nervous system.

Muscle reactivation is the specialized technique of stimulating muscles that have become inhibited and are no longer performing their normal function (s) properly.
Muscles perform the following functions: move joints, stabilize joints and absorb shock.
Our bodies are amazing and can typically adapt to most stresses they are placed under, whether they be physical, chemical or emotional.
There are, however, instances where the stresses rise above our bodies ability to adapt.
When this happens, the human body will prioritize energy usage in support of organ function over muscle function.
