Epic Chiropractic & Sports Therapy has been providing quality chiropractic care in Sacramento since 1942. Dr. Shanks was born in Half Moon Bay and raised in Sacramento.
She received Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Psychology from California State University Sacramento.
Her research thesis was in Sleep and Dreams, with her Master's thesis in psychosomatic conditions of anxiety.
She received her doctorate degree in Chiropractic Studies from Cleveland Chiropractic College, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1979.
She attained postgraduate board certification from the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedics in 1985 and awarded a Fellowship from the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists in 1986.
