After 20 years of practicing chiropractic in Sacramento, it is with mixed emotions that I am announcing the closure of my office. My family and I are moving to Tennessee where I will continue to provide chiropractic care with a large health care organization.

We are excited to embark on this next leg of our journey and to explore all the natural beauty Tennessee has to offer. I know this may seem sudden, but, with the current housing market and my daughter's school schedule, the timing of my office closure needs to happen sooner than I would have preferred. Your health and chiropractic care are important to me.

Also included in the below section are a few chiropractors I trust with my own care and have spoken to regarding my transition. Your health records are confidential and can be released to you only with your permission. We have made an agreement with Dr. Armando Omega to serve as custodian of records.

7. Stretch Your Legs and Back After Each Hour of Sitting-whether in a car or at a desk, stretching regularly will help to keep you from tightening up or injuring yourself further.
The writings of Hippocrates (460-370 B.C.), Galen (130-200 A.D.), and even ancient manuscripts of the Egyptians, Hindus, and Chinese reveal some principles common to chiropractic.
Its place in modern health care is largely attributed to Dr. Daniel David Palmer, who founded the first chiropractic college in Davenport, Iowa, in 1895.
In the late 1800s, Dr. D.D. Palmer was a healer and a teacher trying to understand the cause and effect of disease.
His first chiropractic adjustment was performed in 1895 on a man who was deaf.
Chiropractic is now firmly established as a primary health-care profession where, according to the American Chiropractic Association, approximately 7 to 16 percent of people in the United Stated seek treatment each year.
Our profession has earned recognition for its remarkable effectiveness and its focus on natural, drug-free, non-invasive methods of treatment.
This section summarizes the effectiveness of chiropractic for some of the conditions we treat.
Approximately 25% of our patients come to us with a chief complaint of low-back/pelvic pain or discomfort.
It is important to understand the stages of chiropractic care because they are unique relative to those of other health-care disciplines.
Because chiropractic addresses core physiological and bio mechanical aspects of the body, the process to correct problems without drugs or surgery can take some time.
Some conditions can be treated in a few visits, while others may take longer.
The majority of patients consult a chiropractor because they have an ache or pain.
In the first phase of care, the main objective is to eliminate or reduce your discomfort and stabilize your condition in the shortest amount of time.
Chiropractic care is effective for a wide variety of conditions.
The following is a partial list of some of the most common.
If you do not see your specific condition listed, we encourage you to give us a call so we can personally address your particular concerns.
Allergies are often treated with chiropractic care.
Many allergic and asthmatic reactions are caused by hypersensitivity of the immune system and/or respiratory system.
Researchers have found that the immune and respiratory systems depend on normal communication from the brain and spinal cord to control and coordinate their functions.
