Precision Upper Cervical adjusting is a little-known chiropractic procedure that corrects the position of the top vertebra of the spine (the atlas), and treats the brainstem and upperspinal cord misalignment.
The atlas is a single, two ounce donut-shaped vertebra at the top of the spine.
Trillions of nerve fibers from the brainstem and upper spinal cord travel through the small opening in the atlas and flow down into the spinal column.
Because of the smallness of the atlas opening and the close proximity to the brainstem, if the atlas has moved out of position even a fraction of a degree, very serious things can result.
