I will let you into the office when I am ready to treat you.
Please do not use the main door to the building. We will of course follow CDC guidelines to make your visit safe. Chandra & I will follow all appropriate CDC and state guidelines including face masks, a new pair of gloves or sanitized hands for each patient and frequent sanitization of all surfaces in the office you may come in contact with. You must have a face mask to be treated and either fresh gloves or use the sanitizer we will provide.
Of course if you are showing any upper respiratory symptoms or have a fever you should stay home.

Services
Chiropractors find that most back problems have their source in poorly functioning spinal joints.
By restoring mobility to these joints, chiropractic spinal manipulation enables the surrounding nerves, muscles, ligaments and tendons to function at their best, relieving muscle spasms and allowing inflamed soft tissues to return to normal.
Gentle manipulation of the spine is usually not painful.
Most patients find significant relief for their symptoms within 3 to 6 treatments.
In addition to traditional chiropractic care, the Chiropractic Center of Farmington also offers massage therapy.

In the long range, nothing is better for most back problems than exercise.
Many patients ask me 'How can I strengthen my back?'
While poorly toned muscles often contribute to a back problem, loss of mobility and tight muscles are generally more to blame.
For this reason, stretching is generally more important than toning.
Dr. Meadow will work with you to modify your existing activities and will help you develop a simple routine to increase your flexibility and relax your muscles.
Dr. Meadow works in close conjunction with West Hartford Yoga, for which he is the assistant director and senior consultant.

We are pleased to offer massage therapy in the office, since the muscular component of back pain must also be addressed.
A good massage is a far better way to treat muscular pain than muscle-relaxants and pain-killers could ever be.
Massage is also generally far better than the machine oriented physical therapy so prevalent within the medical model.
The combination of massage and chiropractic is the best way to treat most back pain.
Chandra is a licensed massage therapist with over 12 years of experience.

Common questions about chiropractic treatment, holistic health, and Dr. Meadow's practice and policies.
A: Chiropractic treatment is usually painless.
Some patients are fearful as a result of seeing the exaggerated versions of manipulations shown in some movies, tv shows, etc.
They get over this very quickly because in fact most treatments are relatively low-impact and benign.
A: Dr. Meadow will take a thorough case history and will perform a physical exam focusing on your issue.
This will take 15-30 minutes.
