Services
The ACRB will now offer the board-certified rehabilitation diplomate program.
The program will consist of online reading material and exams, rehabilitation seminar attendance, completion of the oral practical examination and submission of a case study.
Successful completion of the above will fulfill the requirements to obtain board-certified status as a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board (DACRB).
Please note that this will be a diplomate program only.
The board highly encourages all doctors with a current level one, two or three status to move forward with completing the program and obtaining diplomate status.

No other doctor is allowed, by ACRB bylaws, to do a review of your bills without being a diplomate, with the Board being oversight for excessive bill cutting by consultants.
The Board is currently working to get tiered reimbursements for certified and diplomate rehabilitation doctors.
More insurance companies will, and are, following Medicare's guidelines for therapeutic care - "passive modalities are to be used for 2-4 weeks maximum without therapeutic (active rehab) care."
This means that Medicare will only allow a few weeks of modalities without the patients becoming involved in the rehab care process.

Please note that the paper submission requirements have changed.
You are no longer required to submit your paper to a peer-reviewed journal.
You are still required to complete a paper demonstrating chiropractic rehabilitation protocols.
It is recommended that you e-mail the board regarding the intent of your paper prior to writing it.
Once completed, your paper is to be directly submitted to the board for review, via e-mail (info@acrb.org) and in Word format.
If your paper is deemed appropriate and acceptable by the board, you will have fulfilled the requirement for diplomate status and a certificate will be issued.
