At Southbury Spine and Sport Chiropractic we diagnose and treat conditions of the musculoskeletal system. Spinal and extremity joint manipulation to normalize and restore proper joint function, reduce pain, increase range of motion and reduce muscle spasm.
Flexion-distraction for lumbar disc issues and facet joint irritation by decreasing pressure in the disc, reduction of stress on lumbar spinal nerves, and improving joint motion.
Dry needling is a treatment in which a solid, thin needle is introduced into irritated tender muscles aimed at reducing trigger point activity including referred pain they cause, induce relaxation, range of motion improvement, and assist in muscle imbalance regulation.
Dr. Jason Stryjewski graduated Cum Laude from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic in 2012.
Since graduating from chiropractic school Dr. Stryjewski has treated a diverse population of patients from every day injuries to to Olympic level athletes.
He strives to continually stay on top of the best evidence in musculoskeletal diagnosis and treatment so your care can be personalized for best outcomes in the shortest amount of time.
By taking a holistic approach to pain and dysfunction, providing self-help strategies, and rehabilitative/corrective exercises.
On the first visit you will be asked to fill out new patient paperwork and Dr. Stryjewski will take a full history and perform a physical examination, and if necessary, order other diagnostic tests such as imaging or blood work.
All of which help build a clinical picture so that care can be catered to you.
Please wear a T-shirt and comfortable pants or shorts so that the examination may be properly conducted.
If he feels that it is safe, in most cases it is, you will be treated on your first visit.
