Services
Our approach is simple.
We believe that health is amongst our most valuable possessions.
And while we generally meet people after they've lost their health, our commitment is two-fold.
We're committed to teaching our patients that true health is a journey, not a destination.
Through educational opportunities (like this website), we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care.
Our desire is to see our practice members abandon the prevailing sickness care model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favor of the emerging wellness model.
It all started with my grandfather Dr. George Pushies.
He was the first in the family to become a chiropractor.
And now I am the third Pushies to graduate from Palmer and establish a clinic, continues Dr. Pushies.
Dr. Pushies began her pre-chiropractic education at Michigan State University where she studied the basic sciences such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses.
After completing her study there, she was accepted at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
We use a number of highly-effective adjusting approaches to help improve spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference.
The approach we use is based on our clinical judgment and years of experience.
Think of an adjustment as "tuning" a piano, adjusting each string so it produces the perfect tone.
After identifying which vertebrae have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is applied to free up "stuck" spinal joints.
This full spine approach relies on X-rays and a heat-sensing instrument for a thorough evaluation and documented results.
If you've ever gone to a social event where you didn't know anyone, you know how uncomfortable that can make you feel.
Our goal is to eliminate every shred of apprehension and make you feel at home.
Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it's important that our relationship can go the distance.
We've found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance.
The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you'll enjoy.
A wonderful first visit.
Dr Ann was very thorough in discussing every part of the exam process as well as explaining why our bodies respond the way they do! - J.B.
New patients often remark how "homey" our practice is.
That's good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding.
So, make yourself at home!
You'll find plenty of convenient parking and well-lit parking.
You'll be greeted by name when you enter our practice and given a short tour to get you acquainted with our facilities.
