We know what it is like to suffer. To find dead end after dead end when it comes to health. From sports injuries resulting in surgeries to severe chronic illness to congenital birth defects in a child to a child with special needs. We started Genesis Performance Chiropractic to help those in need the way we were in need. Through the ups and downs of these experiences, we've learned a lot along the way.

We are passionate about sharing what we've learned and helping those who have not been able to find help. We know that the easy route isn't always enough. We've pursued the latest in research, techniques and methods to help those who have tried the simple solutions, the do-it-yourself methods or the conventional routes and just have not gotten the answers or results they need.

At GPC, we focus on providing the most well rounded treatment possible. We provide a multi-therapeutic approach by addressing function at a neurological level, working with structural issues within the musculoskeletal system and explore the needs of the body through functional laboratory testing.
Services
Susan has been part of the GPC team since 2018.
She's often the face and voice of the company as she is likely the one you'll see first when you walk into the office and the one you'll hear on the other end of the phone when you call.
Whether it's getting labs together, ordering inventory, or being the first point of contact, she handles all the behind-the-scenes work for the functional medicine part of the practice.
Carol is the newest member of the GPC team.
She joins us bringing a long history of personal training experience and will be offering nutrition services.
Our son, Luke, was born with a random congenital heart defect called aortic stenosis.
He had open heart surgery when he was seven days old, which gave him a chance to live.
The following three months post-op were spent in the Children's Hospital at University of Iowa.
It was filled with numerous complications including a stroke, kidney failure, sepsis, an episode where he stopped breathing, gall bladder removal, and numerous additional heart catheterization procedures.
Luke is only alive today by the grace of God.
We are amazingly complex creations and very often this complexity plays into why people begin to feel pain or fatigued or any other number of symptoms.
When treating any patient at GPC, we look to identify which sources may be involved in these symptoms being expressed.
This includes examining not just from a skeletal perspective, but also neurological, muscular, metabolic, nutritional and movement perspectives.
By assessing and treating these various angles, we are not setting limitations on the body's ability to heal and recover in ways that would be prohibited otherwise.
Each patient at GPC receives not only chiropractic care with each visit, but also a combination of soft tissue work (ART), functional neurology (P-DTR), and corrective exercises.
Each visit is a unique treatment according to how the patient presents on that day.
This means that the visit includes individualized care and not a cookie cutter in-and-out treatment.
We also offer strategies to manage both acute and chronic inflammation/swelling through Deep Tissue Laser Therapy and nutritional recommendations.
P-DTR(R) is a product of the original thought and investigations of orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jose Palomar.
This work recognizes that proprioception (sensation of touch, pressure, hot, cold, pain, etc.), and the way the body processes the information from these receptors, is paramount in determining neuromuscular responses throughout the entire body.
Motor function is not just determined by the motor system, but rather is modified by the inputs of these receptors.
Using a comprehensive system of muscle testing and neural challenges, involved receptors can be located and normal function can be quickly restored.
