Dr. James Beno has been serving the Petoskey community with experience, expertise & compassion since 1973. Dr. Beno's approach is to find the cause of your pain or health problem and treat it directly with chiropractic, kinesiology, and contact reflex analysis. Doctors of chiropractic frequently treat individuals with neuromusculoskeletal complaints, such as low back pain, leg pain (sciatica), neck pain and headaches, whiplash, sacroiliac joint pain, knee pain, shoulder pain and pain between the shoulders.
Chiropractors also treat patients with osteoarthritis, scoliosis, herniated or bulging disc, degenerative disc, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, sprains, and strains. Inspired by having been healed for a herniated disc by a chiropractor in Port Huron, Michigan, Dr. James Beno was spared the recommended surgery to his low back, thus giving him his profession.
The Beno Clinic Chiropractic Center had its beginning in Professional Arts Building in downtown Petoskey in 1973.
In 1980 Dr. Beno needed a larger facility and built his current clinic on the Petoskey- Harbor road (M-119).

In 1973 I graduated from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees completing over 4,400 hours of professional instruction.
Upon graduation, Linda and I decided to open a practice in Petoskey in 1973.
I specialize in Applied Kinesiology with over 400 hours of postgraduate study in this field.
