Elgin Chiropractic has been providing friendly, compassion driven care for the greater Elgin area since 1979. Elgin Chiropractors Dr. Julie and Dr. Wilson took over the clinic in 2007 and have continued the tradition of patient focused care. This husband and wife team first met in chiropractic college and fell in love with not only each other but also with helping people live a more full filled life through chiropractic care.

Our office is committed to helping the community live a better life through drug free pain relief. Both doctors have extensive training in several different methods of care for their patients from the elderly to children. The primary method used by Dr. Julie and Dr. Wilson, Chiropractors Elgin, is a traditional hands on approach using Thompson drop and Diversified technique.

Both doctors are Activator Method certified. Activator is a low force technique for adjusting the spine and other joints of the body. There is "no popping" when using the Activator and it is the only instrument adjusting technique with clinical trials to support its efficiency.
Services
Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine, concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine.
We treat a wide variety of conditions at our office low back pain, neck pain, headaches, herniated discs, sciatica, shoulder pain, carpal tunnel, numbness and tingling in arms and legs, TMJ, and plantar fasciitis to just name a few.
We treat any joint or muscle problem.
Our patients vary in age and activity.
We see little babies from days old that become misaligned due to the birthing process, all the way up to 80+ years old.
We use a number of highly-effective adjusting approaches to help improve spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference.
The approach we use is based on our clinical judgment and years of experience.
This is a system of spinal evaluation combined with a handheld adjusting instrument that delivers a consistent, low-force thrust.
We use a special table so we can traction your spine, opening up the spacing between spinal vertebrae and relieving pressure to spinal.
After identifying which vertebrae have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is applied to free up "stuck" spinal joints.
After the examination the doctor will sit down and explain in detail their findings and answer any questions you might have regarding your health.
The doctor will then treat you and send you home with home instructions to support the care you received in the office.
Then doctor will then answer any remaining questions you may have and reschedule for a follow up visit.
As a service to all our new patients we will check your insurance benefits for you on your first visit.
On your second visit to our office, you will again be treated by the doctor.
