During your first visit you will have a brief but thorough consultation with your Doctor.
He will sit down and discuss your unique problem seeking to discover when it started, what the symptoms are, how it originated, and where it's affecting your daily life.
After the consultation your Doctor will perform an exam that includes, muscle checks, pertinent orthopedic tests, palpation of the spine, and a postural examination.

When you get your vital signs checked, your doctor compares them to normal values.
Just as your heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure have normal, healthy values, your spine also has a normal position it should be in.
When looking from the front or back the spine should be straight up and down without any kinks or curves.
When the spine deviates from this normal spinal position it can create tension or pressure on the spinal cord and nerves causing PAIN, muscle spasm, weakness, and loss of function to wherever the nerves are going.
