Mary presented to our office with lower back pain with pain and numbness in the leg.
She had severe pain, could not sleep well, and had muscle spasm with limited ranges of motion.
She could not work at all.
We treated her on our ' State of the Art', Spinal Decompression tables which helps to decompress the protruding disc along with the physiotherapy modalities of of electrical stimulation, muscle relaxation massage, and rehabilitative exercises.
She had an excellent response to our treatment program, and over the course of a few weeks, she was back to work, out of pain, and re-stabilized as well strengthened her core lower back muscles.
An epidural steroid injection (ESI) is a minimally invasive procedure that can help relieve neck, arm, back, and leg pain caused by inflamed spinal nerves due to spinal stenosis or disc herniation.
Medicines are delivered to the epidural space, which is a fat-filled area between the bone and the protective sac of the spinal nerves.
Pain relief may last for several days or even years.
The goal is to reduce pain so that you may resume normal activities and a physical therapy program.
Nerve block Injections are special procedures that can help prevent or help manage various types of pain caused by a group of nerves called a plexus or ganglion.
Many people in Selden have the idea that chiropractic care is just a great way to treat back and neck pain.

Every function of your body is controlled by your central nervous system, and this function can be disrupted by misaligments in your spine.
These are called subluxations.
A subluxation creates interference in the function of your spinal nerves, and this can result in impaired functioning of your organs and endocrine system.

The principle behind acupuncture is based on balance and "qi."
Qi (pronounced "chee") is regarded in Eastern medicine as the measurable electromagnetic life force.
Think of it as life-giving energy that flows through your body.
In a sense, an analogy could be made with respect to blood flow through the body and the consequential oxygenation of tissue and release of energy into our cells.
Qi passes through channels called meridians and it is necessary for the balance between yin & yang and for energizing different areas of the body.
