Most of our patients come to us with a specific ache or pain, but at Dwyer Chiropractic we don't focus solely on alleviating your pain. Our passionate London Chiropractors Dr. Heather Dwyer and Dr. Penny Shepherd want to help you achieve optimal vitality and a healthy lifestyle so you can live your best life, whatever your age. One of our core values is "happiness and joy."
We want all of our patients to experience happiness and joy the moment they walk through our door-and then take that feeling with them, knowing we can help restore their body's innate ability to heal itself and function optimally. When you have symptoms like neck pain, back pain or headaches, it's the body's way of letting you know its ability to handle stress-whether physical, chemical or emotional-has been overloaded.
This overload creates a misalignment (subluxation) that results in the symptom you're experiencing. Chiropractic care corrects the misalignment so your nervous system can function correctly, allowing your body to heal and manage these various stressors better.

I chose to become a chiropractor after playing volleyball in college.
At the time, one of my teammates had a whiplash injury after being hit in the head with a volleyball.
Traditionally, most people with that type of injury would be out for weeks at a time.
She was back at 100% just two days after visiting her chiropractor.

Dr. Heather was so impressed by the results her teammate experienced that she decided to check out her chiropractor.
Everything just made so much sense.

The brain communicates with the body via the nervous system, and the spine protects the nervous system.
If there is a misalignment in the spine (called a "subluxation"), this interferes with the nervous system's ability to deliver messages between the brain and the body.
When we correct the subluxation, it clears the communication pathway and helps the nervous system function better.
When the nervous system performs optimally, your body's innate healing ability also functions as its peak.
Stress comes in three forms-physical, emotional and chemical.
