What is this?
Electro-Muscle Stimulation is a special form of electrical current that is administered at the site of a soft tissue injury, especially muscles, for the blocking of pain.
How does it work?
Small amounts of electrical current are induced into affected soft tissues to decrease spacticity and reduce swelling.
This widely used technique safely strengthens muscles and helps reduce painful symptoms.
What does it feel like?
Patients generally feel a slight tingling sensation at first.
Since your body may become accustomed to the initial setting, the intensity may be raised during the course of your treatment, for maximum healing effect.
Do you have low resistance to disease?
Subluxations affect your neuroendocrine system which plays an important role in your resistance to disease and your ability to fight infection.
Do you have poor posture?
Stand on two bathroom scales.
The weight distribution should be about the same over each foot.
If it is not, that's a sign that your spine, hips or head are off-center causing abnormal wear, tear and aging to your spine.
At what age should chiropractic care begin?
Newborns have received spinal adjustments especially after difficult or traumatic births.
There are case histories of infants close to death who were adjusted in hospitals with seemingly miraculous recoveries.
Is it bad to "crack" your neck or back a lot?
The desire to "crack" or "pop" the neck or back is caused by tension from a jammed or fixated vertebra, which causes another part of the spine to compensate by moving too much and "popping" or clicking a lot.
