At Back in Balance Family Chiropractic, we provide quality, individual-based chiropractic care to our Sioux Falls community. Our goal is to help you reach your optimal level of health as quickly as possible and to provide you with the tools to keep you there. Our chiropractors, Dr. Adam Renelt and Dr. Ashley Willow, treat you and your concerns as a unique situation rather than treat your symptoms with a pre-specified treatment plan.
Our strategy for your improvement is catered to you and you alone. Through use of the Gonstead Chiropractic System, our doctors can care for a wide variety of patients.
Infants, children, adults, athletes, pregnant women, and everyone in between can take advantage of what the Gonstead System has to offer. If you are unsure if Gonstead is right for you or you have questions, contact us today for a free consultation.

I had never been adjusted until I was injured in a high school football game my junior year.
After the injury I decided to see a chiropractor.
Within two adjustments I was feeling better and was able to play in the next game.
After being impressed by my chiropractic experience, I did some research and became interested in chiropractic as a career.
While at USD and Palmer College, I received chiropractic adjustments on a regular basis and noticed that the lactose intolerance that I had suffered from since birth was no longer present.

Patients may initially seek chiropractic care for pain relief at our office from hearing our current patients share the results they've had or because they've "tried everything else" to get rid of it.
Through the use of the Gonstead Technique, Dr. Adam and Dr. Ashley carefully analyze your spine for the root of your problem & specifically adjust only the vertebrae of your spine that need corrected.
The purpose of the specific Gonstead adjustment is to achieve proper spinal bone placement, relieving irritation to surrounding nerves & restoring health and mobility of the adjacent vertebral discs.

Here's what people like you have to say about the care at Back in Balance, the Gonstead technique, and the effect it's had on their lives.
I have had neck and hip issues for many years and have tried several different chiropractors.
After coming to Back in Balance my hip pain is virtually gone and my neck pain has improved drastically in a short amount of time.
This method is the best I have tried because I do not feel like my head is getting ripped off during the neck adjustments.
The adjustments are gentle and very effective.

As a chiropractor I often get asked questions about why a patient developed symptoms or why they have symptoms that keep returning.
Unfortunately, there is no simple answer for those questions as each patient and their lifestyle is different.
Chiropractic is based on the idea that vertebral subluxations (spinal misalignments) can affect the brain's ability to communicate with the rest of the body.
This may result in pain, abnormal movement, and dysfunction of whatever body parts receive nerve supply from that spinal level.
