I specialize in sports, auto accident and work related injuries and in providing the appropriate physical therapy and rehabilitation for each type of injury. I became a licensed Physical Therapist in 1982 and Doctor of Chiropractic in 1993. I grew up in Marin County, graduating from Terra Linda High School. After doing much of my undergraduate work at U. C. Davis, I graduated from Long Beach State's Physical Therapy school and practiced in Newport Beach in a large comprehensive orthopedic and sports facility.
In 1984, I was fortunate to be chosen for the Los Angeles Summer Olympic medical staff, where I was able to sharpen my skills with elite athletes. I first came to see Dr. Kakleas after being recommended by a friend who was already a patient. I have a chronic neck problem resulting from two whiplash accidents in motor vehicles several years ago. Dr Kakleas has provided me with excellent care resulting in the immediate relief of my recurring neck pain.
Additionally, he has provided an assortment of stretches and strength building exercises to control my problem on a long term basis.
