Services
Your 1st visit will take approximately 1 hour.
Our Doctor will take a comprehensive history, followed by a chiropractic assessment and x-rays of your spine (when necessary).
Each patient will enjoy several minutes on the roller bed to loosen the spine prior to their first chiropractic adjustment.
Your 2nd visit will take approximately 25-30 minutes.
The Doctor will go over your results with you and talk you through all of the findings on your x-rays.
The Doctor will make their best recommendation for a treatment plan that fits your budget and schedule and will get you feeling better.
A chiropractic adjustment is a manipulation to the "subluxated" vertebrae that have abnormal movement patterns or fail to function normally, causing pain.
The objective is to reduce the subluxation, with the goals to increase range of motion, reduce nerve irritability and improve function.
Here at Kinkaid Family Chiropractic, we utilize flexion distraction technique to help the intervertebral discs maintain hydration.
Intervertebral discs are the shock absorbers of the spine.
These oval-shaped sacs sit between each pair of vertebrae, cushioning them from the impact of everyday movements.
Prenatal chiropractic care is our specialty!
More moms-to-be are seeking out alternative forms of care during pregnancy since medication is not advised.
Chiropractic care during pregnancy may help with the common aches and pains that accompany pregnancy.
Rapidly growing belly and breasts cause changes in posture that can place additional stress on the spine.
This can cause neck pain, back pain, and sciatica.
Chiropractic care may help alleviate this additional stress on the spine, and make mom more comfortable throughout pregnancy.
Dr. Kinkaid specializes in pediatric chiropractic care.
Chiropractic care for babies and children is a little different than it is for adults.
Adjustments are very safe and gentle, and are done by applying soft pressures to the spine.
The amount of pressure used is the same pressure one would use to check for ripeness of a peach.
Sometimes babies even sleep through their adjustments!
We always recommend that newborns get checked by a chiropractor right after birth to ensure that the spine and nervous system are functioning optimally.
