Chiropractic corrections, called 'adjustments', restore proper alignment to the spine and extremities, relieving pain, and allowing your body to function it's best and be more resistant to stress. What a wonderful experience! I've been to chiropractors in the past, but Dr. Steve and his staff are absolutely wonderful! At 35 weeks pregnant and in significant pain (back, hips, neck) that I thought wouldn't go away I called the practice.

I was feeling miserable and hopeless. Not only were they able to fit me in that day, but I was greeted with such kindness and care that I immediately felt at ease. Excellent experience over the last year. This is my only experience with chiropractic care, as I was always too afraid to see one.
Services
Dr. Steve completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada-Reno, and then graduated from Life Chiropractic College-West in Hayward, California.
He specializes in Gonstead chiropractic technique, which is a highly regarded method of specifically locating and removing the cause of disease, so that the body can heal and return to optimal function.
Dr. Steve: The goal of chiropractic is to remove nerve pressure.
Spinal misalignments cause inflammation and pressure on the delicate nerves that exit the spine.
Proper structural alignment is crucial for health.
Misalignments of the spine cause pain and interference with the normal function of spinal nerves, which run the entire body.
Chiropractic restores proper alignment to the spine, resulting in optimal nerve function and relieving pain.
Compress nerves where they exit the spine.
Because these nerves run our entire body, compressing them distorts the communication which allows our bodies to function properly.
This problem frequently exists without any pain!.
The bones, joints and discs of the spine can get out of place in a variety of ways, and when they do, they put pressure on the adjacent pairs of nerves where they exit the spine, which may or may not cause pain.
These nerves (called "spinal nerves") have fibers that carry a variety of information from the brain to the body and back, but they don't just carry pain signals.
In fact, only about 10% of the nerve fibers found in the spinal nerves are "pain nerves".
The other 90% run the internal organs and systems, as well as reflexes, muscle control, and non-pain sensations.
Headaches are a very common complaint, with patients frequently reporting that get headaches multiple times per week, or even daily, which they usually attribute the to stress, not drinking enough water, staring too long at a screen, or genetics.
While these factors can certainly contribute to occasional headaches, it's important to state that headaches are not normal.
We're not supposed to have pain in our head (or anywhere else, for that matter) In my experience helping patients with headaches, the cause is most often a misalignment of the spine, and it isn't always in the neck.
If you're pregnant, or planning on becoming pregnant, you should definitely get your spine checked by a chiropractor.
Here's why: the spine houses the nervous system, which runs every organ and system in your body.
When the spine gets out of place, it puts pressure on the nerves where they exit the spine, and reduces the body's ability to coordinate and control the body.
Pregnancy doubles the demand on your nervous system because you're growing a little human out a cluster of cells, which demands perfect coordination by the nervous system.
