Chiropractic (Chiro=hand; Practic=practitioner) is a system of care whereby the doctor of chiropractic employs a number of methods to evaluate the joints of the spine.
When the spinal joints get stuck (fixated), localized pain in the area can result.
Further, a reflex exists whereby the fixated joint will cause the surrounding musculature to tighten and also become irritated.
Through the use of five different adjustment methods, the normal joint motion can be restored.
The result is a reduction in pain and a return to normal functioning of the spine.

A: While about six treatments are typically needed to address the actual causes of most mechanical back pain, we are proud of the fact that our very specific methods minimize the amount of treatment needed.
Just like maintenance with one's dentist, we recommend semi-regular visits in order to maintain a healthy spine and make sure the discomfort initially felt is avoided in the future.
A: For 95% of patients, there is no pain during the adjustment, and a little soreness the next day, like you worked out a little too much.
