Throughout life, our bodies are subject to wear and tear.
This may be caused by repetitive activities - anything from hard manual labor to clerical work.
It can also be caused by prolonged activities - sitting most of the day or standing most of the day.
This wear and tear affects all parts of the frame including the bones, muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, and discs.
Athens, Alabama was incorporated in 1818, before Alabama was even named a state.
Athens was named after the ancient city of Athens in Greece.
Located in Limestone county, within the Huntsville metropolitan area, sits the town of Athens with a population of approximately 25,000 residents.
Settlers originally were drawn to the area because of the rich nutrients within the soil.
The location of Athens made agriculture and farming ideal for early settlers.
The railroad and cotton industries also began to draw even more settlers to the area.
