Dr. AJ Garis is a native Oregonian raised in the small town of Aurora. He was introduced to the miracles of chiropractic at the age of 12 following a go-karting accident. Dr. AJ earned his first Bachelor of Science in Geology, at Oregon State University. For a time he pursued a rewarding career in Geology before being called back to chiropractic. Dr. AJ earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Western States in Portland.
Concurrently he earned his second Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. Throughout his studies, he maintained Dean's List and received additional training and certifications in; Webster Technique for peri and postnatal care, and Graston Technique to reduce scar tissue and mysofascial adhesions. As a student-focused on outreach, he founded "The Art of Chiropractic" club to help students practice their skills.
In 2014 he organized a humanitarian trip to Peru, where 15 students provided chiropractic care to the impoverished people in the remote villages.

We now have advances in the wellness field that allow us to live a life of optimal health as we age.

We know that proper diet and exercise are important to keep our bodies running efficiently.
However, what happens when your body is in too much pain to exercise comfortably and safely?
This is where Chiropractic care can help!
By increasing range of motion, and decreasing muscle tightness, pain and nerve interferences, chiropractic can have you meeting your fitness goals once again.
Chiropractic adjustments work to balance all of the body's systems (bones, muscles, organs and nerves).
Because our body systems do not function independently, the health and fitness of each affect all of the others.

Myofascial release is an intervention administered to various patients to alleviate pain or restrictive tissue problems.
The release treatment usually involves the application of gentle or moderate pressure on the connective tissues and leads to relaxation and eventual elongation of the fascia therein.
These restrictions are often caused by traumatic accidents or inflammation of the soft tissue.
Some patients get them as an after-effect of surgery.
They always result in muscular tension and spasm of sharp pain.
