Sea Cliff Chiropractic
No one likes living with pain. Our first goal is to get you out of pain as quickly as possible. We accomplish that by using a combination of natural treatments including chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue manipulation, exercise rehabilitation and nutritional recommendations. These techniques are highly effective for managing conditions such as lower back and neck pain, joint and muscle conditions, sports injuries, and headaches.

But why is it that some injuries seem to reoccur, and why do some painful conditions seem to just come out of nowhere with no obvious cause? What makes our services unique is that we not only work to get you out of pain, but we also help you uncover and correct the actual root cause of your problem.

Although some conditions are simply the result of an accident or fall, pain and illness are often caused by hidden, more long-standing problems such as spinal instability, unhealthy movement patterns or muscle imbalance caused by poor work habits, repetitive motions, old injuries, improper exercise, stress, nutritional issues or poor posture.
Services
We do accept insurance as payment in many cases.
We are in-network with several insurance companies and we also accept out-of-network coverage when possible.
We will be happy to review your benefits with you prior to your visit.
Of course we welcome patients who do not have insurance, and we do our best to keep our fees as reasonable as possible so that no one is unable to receive care.
Please call the office at (516) 316-4589 if you have any questions.
Due to the comprehensive nature of our exam and evaluation, your initial visit will last at least one hour.
Your initial office visit will take a little over an hour.
The first part will include an in-depth discussion about the history of your condition; your work, eating and exercise habits; hobbies; stresses; etc.
All of these contribute to the state of your health.
In many cases, small details about your lifestyle are important clues on how we can help you get better.
Following your history, we'll perform a thorough examination of your spine, nerves, muscles, joints, and "fascia" (the thin connective tissues that surrounds all of your muscles).
Part of your exam and ongoing care will include a careful assessment and monitoring of your movement patterns.
Over time physical stressors such as injuries, repetitive motions, habits, and postures we assume doing things like computer work or playing musical instruments can alter your normal movement patterns and lead to pain and dysfunction.
For this reason your exam will include a detailed assessment of your movement patterns, biomechanics and muscle activity coordination.
Frequently these areas of dysfunction are not located at the site of pain.
Over the years many patients have requested personal one-on-one training time with me so they can learn and assimilate a set of exercises that are customized to their specific needs.
I now offer this service to patients who are interested.
I find that this kind of training empowers patients to work out at the gym or at home confident that what they're doing is safe and is based on their specific needs and goals.
Part of your initial exam will be a thorough assessment of your movement patterns and muscle balance.
Frequently these tests uncover muscles, joints or fascia that are tight; muscles that are weak; joints that are unstable; and habitual movement patterns that are harmful.
These can all lead to muscle imbalance, joint/spine degeneration, pain and chronic injury.
We take the time to do these assessments because the results frequently uncover the underlying cause of your pain and disability.
As the body tries to compensate for something that is tight or weak, some other part of the body is asked to do something that it isn't designed to do, and it breaks down.
