Manipulation under anesthesia (MUA-FRP) is a non-invasive procedure that has been utilized for over 70 years. It is increasingly offered for acute and chronic unresolved conditions such as: neck pain, back pain, joint pain, muscle spasm, shortened muscles, fibrous adhesions, and long term pain syndromes.

The procedure consists of the patient being sedated with anesthesia (pre-op Versed or Fentanyl) and during the MUA may include the anesthesiologist's choice of Propofol (Diprivan), Midazolam (Versed), Sufentanyl, and, occasionally, Succinylcholine, through a secured IV.The MUA-FRP is performed by a specially trained MD, DO or DC in a local surgical center.

Originally when I was involved in the car accident, pain was effecting every area of my life. However with the proper care, that was provided by Dr. Kaldy, my level of pain and range of motion progressed as well as my overall strength. I had extreme headaches, neck and middle back pain and some lower back pain following a car accident.
Services
The Las Vegas Pain and Wellness Center emphasizes improving your health in an effort to reduce the risk of pain and illness in the first place through multi-disciplinary care.
We also understand that injuries and illness happen.
We will be there for you then as well!
Most people would rather be healthy and avoid illness, if they could.
This is one of the main reasons for the big surge in want and need of chiropractic.
For some, The Las Vegas Pain and Wellness Center will take them back to a place that is cozy and familiar, offering a rediscovery of the original "family doctor" who will take the time to get to know you and be there for you when you need help.
Chiropractic care is like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly.
When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse.
If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem.
The same is true for your body.
Your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully.
Upon entering our office, our patient care representative will welcome you.
You will have been emailed the forms, please fill them out ahead of time and bring them with you.
If you were unable to fill them out ahead, please arrive 1/2 hour early and our front desk personnel will be provided forms to complete (These can be found under the form tab above- please be detailed, tell use the how and when your discomfort started.).
This paperwork provides us with a brief history and information regarding you and your condition.
Sometimes new radiographs must be taken.
This is done on a case by case basis.
Radiographs can be helpful when looking for fractures or other pathology.
Some insurance companies require that imaging is performed before any treatment begins, others will only cover radiology procedures performed in specific imaging centers.
Obviously the doctors will make the decisions whether or not you need any imaging.
Many health insurance companies will not cover the costs regarding imaging in a physicians office.
The Las Vegas Pain and Wellness Center believes in the value of wellness care for you and your family and have maintained a pricing structure that allows care for all budgets.
Our office participates in most insurance programs.
We also accept auto accident and workers compensation cases.
For patients who have little or no chiropractic insurance coverage, flexible payment programs can be arranged.
