I grew up on Long Island in New York as the third of four children.
I was very active in sports and music and focused on doing well academically.
Baseball was my passion, and I played NCAA Division I baseball as a pitcher for the University of Pennsylvania.
I studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania and earned my B.S.E.E. in 1986.
Following graduate work toward a Masters Degree in Engineering at the University of Delaware, I worked as a telecommunications consultant and product manager for 4 years in Northern Virginia before deciding to attend chiropractic school at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
