My work is a fusion of the healing arts.
I have a strong background in chiropractic, acupuncture, nutrition, dance and Pilates.
Over the past 20 years I have developed a rehabilitation program that offers a functional rehab model in 3 planes of motion while combining these principles.
This theory of moving the treatment into various positions addresses the individual patient's needs in a functional and usable manner.
This principle makes the technique efficient, effective and complete.
I was first a dancer.
I have been a student, friend and peer of Dr Larry Webster since my clinical work began.
The Webster Technique is a series of gentle adjustments to the sacrum - pelvis- hips and ligaments posterior and anterior that allow decreased pain, balance and strength for the mother and ease of enviroment and position for the infant.
And yes - the mother can lie comfortably face down for some of these procedures- which is usually a treat for her.
Mothers-to-be receive treatments which include chiropractic, Webster technique, diaphragmatic release ( for nausea and relaxation), pelvic floor work, yogic energetic and strength movements and breath work.
Over the years we have developed a comprehensive health care system which is customized for each of our patients.
We would like to provide you information concerning our practices, office procedures, treatments, advantages and risk factors involved in participating in your personalized health care treatment plan with us.
The doctor will "adjust" the "subluxation" ( the act of moving one bone into alignment with the one below in order to decrease pain, inflammation, and nerve interference while increasing range-of-motion, nerve transmission, and health).
Our rehabilitation program works in a Pilates based style in a tri plane system.
We feel that in utilizing this program we can access core strength rather than peripheral muscles and integrate a stronger and more functional response from the patient.
Shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand as well as hip, knee, ankle, and foot pain are also addressed using extremity adjusting techniques and Pilates rehabilitation.
We have found that even with this technique we must go one step forward to integrate the upper body with the lower body and this is where our tri-plane theory works so very successfully.
