Our story started when we were newlyweds and got pregnant nine months in. Dr. Kseniya was still in Chiropractic school (half-way there) and Dr. Russ was saving lives as an EMT. We really didn't know what it entailed to birth and raise a little one. We were robbed of precious moments when our newborn was misdiagnosed and placed in the NICU. From there we suffered a cascade of health events for years to come.
Our passion lays in helping families advocate for themselves, make informed decisions, and have the available resources at their fingertips. We know that care as a parent is extremely important because YOU are the foundations of the family. Our first birth had so many medical interventions that we didn't want so we set out to find the best birth support team.
Labor and recovery was so different for Dr. Kseniya from her first to her second birth. Since she was under Chiropractic care the whole nine months of her second pregnancy she avoided induction, was able to sleep through contractions, and had her baby naturally at San Francisco Birth Center without any pain medication.
