Walter P. Grady, DC
Are you experiencing a painful complaint that appeared for no apparent reason? Are you continuing to suffer from and injury after an auto accident, sports injury, slip and fall or surgery? Have you received care from a medical doctor, physical therapist or Chiropractor and your complaint continues to persist? As a Chiropractor, Dr. Grady is trained in spinal and extremity manipulation but is also certified in Applied Kinesiology and has been in practice for some 25 years.

Care provided at this office consists of essentially determining the location of the spinal or extremity joint derangement and then delivering corrective manual manipulation to the joint. Then and this is the unique aspect, muscle testing is performed throughout the area of complaint to determine which supporting muscles are not stabilizing the affected joint area.

Applied Kinesiological muscle strengthening is then delivered to these weak muscles. Lumbar Spine for Chiropractic Treatment to illustrate one can clearly see in the anatomical illustration, the lumbar spine is in derangement and the two stabilizing psoas muscles are also in a state of imbalance.
Services
Unlike conventional medicine, which focuses on attempting to treat disease once it occurs, Dr. W. P. Grady emphasizes improving your health in an effort to reduce the risk of pain and illness in the first place.
Most people would rather be healthy and avoid illness, if they could.
This is one of the main reasons for the big surge in the popularity of our wellness center.
For some, Dr. W. P. Grady will take them back to a place that is cozy and familiar, offering a rediscovery of health and wellness that had been previously known but long lost.
We understand that arriving at a doctor's office for the first time can be nerve racking.
If you've never experienced chiropractic care before, you may not know what to expect when you come to our Toledo chiropractic office for the first time.
Filling out paperwork, learning new faces and names, and getting to know your way around the office can be an overwhelming experience.
That's why at Dr. W. P. Grady our aim is to remove any unnecessary stress or tension and make you feel comfortable during your visit with our chiropractor.
Chiropractic care is like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly.
When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse.
If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem.
The same is true for your body.
Your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully.
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Walter Grady to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options.
This initial visit is designed for Dr. Walter Grady to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
After your consultation, Dr. Walter Grady will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility.
Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well.
Most people are under the assumption that if they don't feel any pain that there is nothing wrong with them - that they are healthy.
Unfortunately, pain is a very poor indicator of health.
In fact, pain and other symptoms frequently only appear after a disease or other condition has become advanced.
For example, consider a cavity in your tooth.
Does it hurt when it first develops or only after it has become serious?
How about heart disease?
Regardless of whether you are talking about cancer, heart disease, diabetes, stress or problems with the spine, pain is usually the last thing to appear.
