Because the taking of x-rays exposes a patient to a small amount of radiation, the need to see a patient's bone structure on film must outweigh the need to subject a patient to this exposure.
Dr. Buys evaluates each patient individually to determine their chiropractic needs and will make recommendations accordingly which may or may not include imaging.
In general, x-rays are not required for a patient to receive care.
However, if a patient's history and exam findings suggest imaging should be performed steps will be taken to assure that a patient receives the appropriate level of care.

Chiropractic care is the method of treating physical ailments through the manipulation or adjustment of the spinal column.
Chiropractic prides itself in the fact that it looks for and treats the source of the problem and not just the symptoms.
For example, although headaches are very painful, they are often only a symptom of a deeper issue.
An adjustment, or chiropractic manipulation, is a quick thrust or force applied to a specific part of the spinal anatomy in order to restore motion and function to a vertebrae which has become "stuck" or "fixated."
