I am often asked "Why did you become a chiropractor?" I can't tell you how great it is to be a chiropractor. The wonderful things I get to see on a day to day basis are just spectacular-I truly love what I do! When I was five years old I woke up with excruciating neck pain. That afternoon I received my first chiropractic adjustment. After that day chiropractors played a big role in my life.
When I fell off a cliff skiing, or when I got knocked out in football or when I flipped my motorcycle at 50 MPH, I landed in the chiropractor's office each and every time. Also I had birth trauma to my neck and a birth defect in my low back, so every six months throughout my childhood my neck or my back would go out, laying me up for days. One time, I was unable to stand up straight for days, so the neighbors brought over a wheelchair for me.we were scared.
We went to the medical doctors and they advised correct lifting techniques and pain pills. I was petrified that, at 15 years old, I would stay like this.
