Staying adjusted is more important than ever to help you deal with stress and to keep your resistance high. Chiropractic is the largest non-medical health care system on the planet. This holistic health care profession is licensed in all 50 states and many countries around the world, touching millions of lives and helping millions of people to heal naturally, while also helping millions more to stay healthy around the globe.
Chiropractic is founded on the principle that the human body is meant to be self healing, self regulating, and self actualizing. All of these things are regulated by the inborn mind, also known as the innate mind, through the nerve system. Interferences in the nerve system, primarily along the spinal cord, disrupt the ability of the innate mind to monitor and regulate all function, healing and health.
Interferences in the spinal nerve system, known in chiropractic terms as vertebral subluxations, also interfere with the individual's expression of who they are as a human being.

There is always something fun going on at Stewart Family Chiropractic.
Why do I offer incentives to come in to my office?
Why would a chiropractor virtually give away his first visit with you and offer things like free ice cream to entice you to come to his office?
Is the man starving?
Is his practice failing?
No, quite the contrary, in fact my practice is quite robust.
I offer these things for the same reason that a person will spend their own precious free time and sometimes their own money to be trained as a volunteer fireman.

It has become a tradition during the month of October to have a Halloween "Find the Mice" contest at Stewart Family Chiropractic.
Dr. Gary hides 3 little rubber mice somewhere in the main areas of the office.
Those who come in to get adjusted (kids and kids-at-heart) have the opportunity to find the mice.
It's fun to see the excitement on the kids' and adults' faces when they find a mouse.
Since the contest runs all month long, each time they come in to get adjusted they can keep searching.
Announcing the winner of our 2018 contest: Follow Dr. Gary around our office to see where he hid those little critters and watch our drawing to see who our winner is.

Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful patients, we collected 33 bags of groceries plus $120 in cash and grocery store gift cards.
Proceeds will benefit the Riverdale Food Pantry and St. Paul's Food Pantry in Paterson.
Our patients were very generous and we collected 49 large bags of groceries plus $30 in cash.
Dr. Gary loves to give back to the community that he serves.
Proceeds of the food drive were given to the Riverdale Food Pantry.

Stewart Family Chiropractic has been the proud sponsor of the "Dangling Donut Contest" during the annual Riverdale Fright Night for many years.
In 2017, we tied 232 donuts onto ribbons so they could be hung from the A-frame stand Dr. Gary built specifically for this event.
By the end of the 2 hour event, we had run out of donuts!
Kids love this event (and even some parents ask to participate).
The object is to be the first to finish eating the donut hanging in front of them.
The trick is, the donut is suspended from a string, so it moves around, plus the kids are NOT allowed to use their hands!

The kids were asked to draw a picture and explain how chiropractic adjustments help them and their family.
Our winner was Theodora B. who took home a backpack filled with school supplies.
Here are the rest of our contest entries.
Good thing our patients were the ones voting for the winners - everyone did such a great job - it would have been really tough for us to choose a winner.
