At Body Logic, we focus on improving and maintaining movement as your body adapts and overcomes the challenges that you face! We want to help you move better, feel better, and live better! It is our priority to keep our patients and staff as safe and healthy as possible. Back pain is one of the most common reasons for seeking chiropractic care. Tight muscles, headaches, and numbness and tingling in the extremities are examples of symptoms that people often "just deal with."

Did you know that chiropractors can evaluate and treat these symptoms and many other conditions? In order to address the underlying cause of the problem, the entire body's health and wellbeing need to be considered. Simply put, it's all connected! Understanding how your bones and muscles work together to help you move is important for long-term wellness management.

Educating our patients is key to helping you help yourself. I learn so much from the doctors and enjoy meeting new people every day. I love the fact that we're able to help make our patients restore a quality of life that wasn't there before they started coming to see us.
Services
We believe that each patient and client is an individual person with individual needs and goals for their physical and emotional well-being.
We believe that understanding each person individually is essential to provide the most appropriate and highest level of care.
The mission of Body Logic Massage and Chiropractic is to provide a healthy, comfortable, healing environment for the Virginia Beach community.
The integration of chiropractic care, massage therapy, and nutritional support offers a variety of opportunities for clients and patients to reach their personal health goals.
Chiropractic care focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems.
It uses a variety of hands-on techniques and other modalities to improve body functions.
The main form of treatment is called an adjustment.
An adjustment can be performed in many different ways, but the underlying intent of each technique is to restore motion to a joint.
The effect is improved range of motion, reduced pain, decreased muscle tension, decreased irritation to the nervous system, and improved physical performance.
Sports chiropractic addresses the unique physical demands of athletics and competition, and the toll they take on the body.
Athletes have different goals and different physical needs than the rest of the population, and the doctors at Body Logic work with all types of athletes to accomplish these goals.
This includes the full spectrum of recovery from injury, restoring and retraining proper biomechanics to enhance performance, and prevention of injury by maintaining proper joint and muscle function.
Diversified Technique is a style of manual joint manipulation.
The doctor positions the patient in a particular way to isolate the joint being treated, and then makes a quick motion with their hands to induce movement at that joint.
Diversified Technique uses a "high velocity, low amplitude" adjustment, meaning the motion is performed very quickly and therefore does not require a lot of force to obtain the desired effect of improved joint mobility.
This is the most common form of chiropractic adjustment.
Drop Technique is a style of chiropractic manipulation that uses momentum to induce and restore joint movement.
Drop Technique is a style of adjusting that uses momentum to generate force when restoring joint motion.
At Body Logic this is used mostly for the pelvis and lower back.
The table lifts up about an inch at your waist, the doctor contacts the joint being treated and as the doctor pushes downward the table drops that inch back down, restoring movement at that joint.
This technique is great for people with lower back and SI joint pains, and for people whose hips are "off" or "uneven", such as people who drive a lot and/or long distances, people who sit a lot for work, or people that have to bend forward repetitively for work or things like gardening.
