As a Primary health care provider, our goal at Alexander Chiropractic is to offer our patients an approach to health care known as the wellness model. We want to go beyond covering up the symptoms with medication. We want to help relieve your pain and symptoms but, more importantly, we want to identify and correct the cause.
Services
Alexander Chiropractic was established in 1965.
Dr. F. Wayne Alexander earned his undergraduate degree from Memphis State University (now The University of Memphis) and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Prior to completing his education, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years.
Dr. Alexander has completed many hours of postgraduate and continuing education work from CCE accredited institutions.
His areas of interest include non-forceful adjustment techniques, nutrition, rehabilitation and wellness.
Heather Gann is our front office assistant.
She is here to help you with everything from scheduling your appointment to payment arrangements.
We are a preferred provider for most insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare and Medicare.
She will help you with any coverage questions.
She will also help you with a reasonable payment plan if you have no insurance coverage.
Heather will find answers for any questions you may have in these areas.
Leah Hopper is Dr. Nate's assistant.
The most important question for Dr. Alexander to answer is whether or not you are a candidate for care here.
We are interested in trying to completely understand your health condition.
We will ask you questions related to how your condition started, what makes your symptoms better or worse, the severity of your symptoms, how long you have had them and other related aspects of your health.
A physical examination will follow your consultation.
This may or may not lead to services such as x-rays.
After ruling out conditions that might require referral, Dr. Alexander will perform an evaluation of your neuromusculoskeletal system (a long word for nerves, muscles, and bones).
The purpose of the Chiropractic approach used at Alexander Chiropractic is to uncover the cause of your health condition, not merely cover up your symptoms.
The absence of symptoms (pain) does not equal good health!
Webster's New World Dictionary defines wellness as "being satisfactory in regard to health or physical condition, healthy".
Healthy implies normal physical and mental vigor and freedom from disease, weakness or disorder.
Many times we don't seek wellness or health until it is lost or threatened.
At Alexander Chiropractic, we understand the need for good nutrition to have good health.
Proper nutrition helps the body to repair and heal.
Many times we don't get all the nutrients we need from our food, even if we eat a well-balanced diet and certainly if we don't.
Dr. Alexander has completed many hours of post-graduate study in nutrition.
He provides individualized recommendations to meet your specific needs.
Each patient's nutritional program is specific to his or her needs.
Supplements do usually fall into two categories: those taken for maintaining good health and those for specific conditions.
