I was born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas where I worked at several different nursing homes while I was in high school.
This experience showed me at an early age how important it is to take responsibility for one's health - within the margins of what one has the capacity to influence.

I knew then that healthcare would be my career and pursed a degree in Human Biology in the pre-med curriculum at the University of Kansas.
