He graduated Valedictorian for both programs, earning a doctorate in chiropractic and a masters degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine within four years. It was love, passion and working hard that made him a successful practitioner who could provide the best care to his patients.

At Tawfik Saleh, DC, LAc, we believe in practicing an evidence-based healthcare with honesty and integrity. We don't hook patients with long term plans or cause them a financial burden. Coming from a background with a strong belief in natural healing methods, Dr. Saleh pursued his goal to be a holistic practitioner.
He attended California State University Stanislaus, where he graduated with a Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Chemistry with honors.
He then attended the Doctor of Chiropractic and Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine programs at Southern California University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Saleh Graduated from both programs at the top of his class with honors (Summa cum Laude).
Cupping is a form of ancient therapeutic method that has been practiced by different cultures.
It involves creating a vacuum in cups placed on specific locations on the body.
This vacuum can be created by heat or suction.
The cups can be left for few minutes (static cupping) or moved in one area (dynamic cupping).
When cups are placed they will cause lifting of the tissue and usually cause local redness for few days after the treatment.
Cupping helps relieve muscle spasm, improve blood circulation and lymphatic flow as well as eliminates blood congestion in the tissues.
Moxibustion involves burning an herb close to specific points on the body in order to stimulate them.
The goal is to increase tissue heat and improve blood circulation.
It is used as a conjunctive therapy to acupuncture to help relieve pain, relax muscles.
It is also used to enhance the immune system and help with female problems such as delayed menstruation and pain associated with it.
During the treatment, the Acupuncturist will ask you about the elevation in temperature to make sure it doesn't increase beyond the desired therapeutic level.
