Services
Dr. Lucas graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College in 1976 and began treating patients in the Mat-Su Valley in 1977.
Known by his patients as "Doc", he is a family man and father of 6 children who have blessed him and his wife Diane with 26+ grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
When he is not treating patients he enjoys his time with family, attending church functions and weekends at his cabin in rural Alaska.
Dr. Lucas strives to provide holistic, full body care through Chiropractic.
The primary focus of the staff is Family Wellness Care, treating patients of every age and condition.
We specialize in correcting your body's misalignments.
Our goal is to ensure that your spine and the rest of your body are working harmoniously.
To do so, we will help you develop a plan that will require light stretching, some exercise, chiropractic care, and a healthy diet.
Corrective exercises are the use of bodily movements and/or postures to restore desirable changes in diseased or injured tissues.
The corrective exercises are movement strategies that minimize or eliminate compensation.
Corrective exercises should precede more integrated exercises, because they can cue the patient's motor system to respond in a more desirable way and assist in removing or improving biomechanical constraints.
My son spent the first six weeks of his life screaming.
He was in obvious pain, but the pediatrician said there was not much we could do for 'colic'.
We tried everything from gas drops and gripe water to music and white noise.
His belly was so hard we probably could have bounced a quarter off of it.
Finally we came to Dr. Lucas, who I believe works miracles- my son was a different baby after the first visit.
Dr. Lucas taught me some things I could do to help Eli between visits.
Our lives were significantly changed for the better and Dr. Lucas made that change happen for us.
We want to see all our patients attain and maintain a level of wellness care.
This is when your body is fully healed and only needing maintenance adjustments.
It is still recommended to come in for periodic adjustments to keep things running smoothly.
This requires a quick visit 1-4 times per month based on your lifestyle and goals.
Since back pain is the leading cause of disability worldwide, it is vital to know how to prevent the cause of back pain.
By maintaining a healthy diet and weight, remaining active and avoiding prolonged inactivity or bed rest are all important ways to avoid back pain.
