Bourke Chiropractic
Elyssa Bourke, DC has been focused on helping others attain wellness her entire professional career. Dr. Bourke's desire to help others achieve physical well-being is the cornerstone of her experience and practice. As a professional dancer, yoga instructor and personal trainer in New York City, Dr. Bourke saw first hand the crippling effects injuries can have on a persons body.

Through her experience and training, Dr. Bourke found herself drawn to creating programs that not only helped clients create physical well-being but created programs to assist in managing chronic pain and injury-related conditions. Spurred by a passion for the practice she was creating with clients, Dr. Bourke looked into various avenues to help further develop her skills and found the study of chiropractic to be the focus that best fit her philosophy.

Looking for a new challenge, Dr. Bourke and her husband decided to relocate to Buffalo from New York City. Dr. Bourke grew up in East Aurora, NY and chose the Greater Buffalo area to be closer to family and to further her education by entering D'Youville College's Doctor of Chiropractic program.

The chiropractic profession was created by Daniel David Palmer in 1895.
The technique originated with an adjustment to the joints of the spinal column.
These traditional adjustments delivered motion into the body to increase motion to the segment being adjusted.
The realm of chiropractic has expanded to integrate the whole body.
There are many different techniques used to deliver a chiropractic adjustment.
Dr. Bourke utilizes the diversified technique, sacral blocking, kinesio tape, Cold Laser Therapy and is a certified practitioner of the Graston Technique.
We currently offer a variety of online yoga classes through a Zoom format.
Each teacher works in a way that is intuitive to the body and is centering, safe and challenging.
We each bring years of teaching experience to our classes.
Julia focuses on a Hatha style and is based in the tradition of the Himalayan Institute.
Leslie's classes offer a slow and grounding flow practice and is based on her trainings with Cyndi Lee and Shiva Ray.
Elyssa's classes are a variation on Vinyasa flow and integrate her trainings with Om Yoga, modern dance and Chiropractic.
