He was an All-American water polo player and swimmer in college as well as an exceptional student.
In the summers, you could find him on the beach where he was a Long Beach Lifeguard and Los Angeles County Lifeguard from 2000-2008.
Dr. Garcia graduated with Honors from CSU Long Beach with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.
In the fall of 2005 he was the strength and conditioning coach for the Men's Water Polo team at Cerritos College where he had a successful athletic career and was later inducted into the 2016 Cerritos College Hall of Fame as the distinguished male athlete for excellence in swimming and water polo.
