The goal of chiropractic adjustment is to correct the spinal subluxations detected during the examination.
In order to achieve this, the chiropractor applies pressure to the joint and unlocks it from improper position.
The adjacent bones will then be free to align themselves correctly.
Many people think that the chiropractor forces a vertebra back into its proper place; but only the individual's body intelligence knows that is the proper place for each bone.
The role of the chiropractor is to free up the vertebrae or joints so the body can then do its job to put them back into the correct position.

Dr. Yajima was very thorough in finding out what I needed.
I really liked that about his approach.
He asked with me to see how I walked and what my habits were.
In the end, I purchased some custom made insoles that I now want for every pair of shoes I own.
I know taking care of my body starting with my feet is going to make a huge difference as I age and my knees and back start to weaken.
Thank you Dr. Yajima!

Chiropractic is a branch of the healing arts based upon the understanding that good health depends, in part, upon a normally functioning nervous system (especially the spine and the nerves extending from the spine to all body parts).
The term chiropractic comes from the Greek word chiropraktikos, meaning "effective treatment by hand."
Chiropractic stresses the idea that the cause of many disease processes begins with the body's inability to adapt to its environment.
This field looks to address these diseases by locating and adjusting the dysfunctional musculoskeletal area of the body without using any medication.
