Gonstead Spine & Wellness
The Doctors at Gonstead Spine and Wellness, in Meridian, Idaho, all practice a very unique and different type of chiropractic called "The Gonstead Method". Their specialty is helping sick people get well by specifically detecting and reducing nerve interference. While this approach is excellent at helping correct back, neck, and joint pain, these symptoms are just the tip of the iceberg as far as what a trained Gonstead Doctor can do.

He can help with issues you're facing that you might not have thought could be addressed by a chiropractor. You may be surprised to know that not all chiropractors have the same training, or adjust the same way. The Gonstead Method is a system of analysis and adjusting. It is a two-step process. First, an examination and spinal analysis must always be performed before adjusting the spine.

We tell our patients that part of the purpose of their appointment is to have their spine checked to see if they need to be adjusted- this is vital. If you don't fully understand the problem, how can you fix it?

Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it's important that our relationship can go the distance.
The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you'll enjoy.
It's as simple as that.
CCEP stands for "Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner", an advanced certification in extremity adjusting education offered by the Council on Extremity Adjusting (CEA).
Any Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) who has successfully completed our 105 hour, seven course extremity certification program and passed their final exam is a Certified Chiropractic Extremities Practitioner (CCEP).
The concept that the neurological system (spine) must be in balance with the mechanical control system (extremities) is the key approach that sets the average chiropractor apart from the CCEP in results and stability for their patients.
We first make sure the foot and ankle is adjusted and moving properly before attempting to cast the foot.
We then position the foot in the "maximum arch supination" posture; meaning, the foot is placed into a corrected position while casting the foot, to build an orthotic support for the healthy foot, rather than the pathological (unhealthy) foot.
This results in a much different type of orthotic.
Whether you are suffering from a foot problem or you just want to be well informed about how the amazing human body works, this informative video about the foot is for you!
