I started to gain an interest in chiropractic while I was in high school.
I spent some time "shadowing" in different chiropractic offices around my home town of Pierre, South Dakota.
I learned how and why chiropractic works and the importance of your nervous system in every function of your body.
The philosophy of chiropractic made perfect sense to me and I saw those chiropractors helping lots of people experience a healthier life in my short time watching them.
I made a decision before I graduated high school that I would become a chiropractor.

By age eleven I had already had low back pain, pain in to my left leg, stomach troubles and some headaches.
My mom had taken me to 3 different doctors, who by the last one told me to take 3-4 Ibuprofen 3-4x a day for the rest of my life and to come back when I was 40 and had a real problem and he would do surgery then.
So, I did what the doctor ordered, I took ibuprofen 3-4x daily and eventually the Ibuprofen stopped working.
In the meantime, I was accused at school of being a drug addict because I had pills in my pockets all the time.
