Ever since Dr. Cortner was a child she had been chronically sick.
What started out as occasional ear infections turned into chronic sinus and strep infections, persistent acne and hormonal imbalances that continued on for years.
She was constantly taking antibiotics which temporarily treated the symptoms but did not provide a permanent solution to the problem.
At the time, it was the only solution presented to her family.
However, life changed for her at the age of 13 when she was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome).
