It's important for a person to have their spine aligned on a regular basis. You go to a dentist for preventive care and to a mechanic to make sure your car is properly tuned. Going to a chiropractor is one of the best preventive measures a person can take against disease to make sure their body is at its best. Richard Reul is a certified chiropractic extremity practitioner with an office in the east end of Louisville, KY.

In addition to spinal care, he assesses and adjusts extremities, such as shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, ankles, etc. One size does not fit all when it comes to improving the wellness of chiropractic patients at Reul Chiropractic. What is ideal care for one person may not be ideal for another. At our practice, we look at your total health and specialize in personalized chiropractic treatment catered to your specific needs.

Dr. Reul is one of a few chiropractors in the Louisville, KY area to offer Torque Release Technique or TRT, a gentle adjustment method that doesn't involve manual manipulation.
Services
When I started my practice, I used more traditional techniques that involved manual manipulation of the spine, i.e. the drop method.
The results were good.
Although I am trained in many chiropractic techniques, I adjust most of my patients now using Torque Release Technique or TRT.
I offer my patients spinal manipulation, as well as products that affect the spine, such as custom-made foot orthotics.
Improper or imbalanced translation of forces from our feet can have a significant impact on the health of our spine, knees, and hips.
I am very excited to have found Torque Release Technique (TRT).
It's the most specific and effective technique that I have used and allows me to practice with certainty.
Through a series of tests, I am able to pinpoint the exact location of vertebral subluxation that needs to be adjusted.
At any given time we all have about 10 subluxations or blockages working.
But at any one time there is only one primary subluxation.
Torque Release Technique (TRT) is similar to being able to open a safe you've never seen before.
First, you will be given some papers to fill out so we can learn your medical history, pain points and medicines you take.
The initial consultation with Dr. Reul lasts around an hour.
He'll talk with you, explain his process, take measurements, and locate your trouble spots.
X-rays may be taken to determine the health of your spine.
On the second visit, Dr. Reul will give you a thorough report of his findings.
He will go over the x-rays and do further medical, neurological and orthopedic testing to firm up his diagnosis.
Believe it or not, our feet, and the dynamics of our gait (how we walk), have a major impact on our spinal health and the health of our knees, hips and even jaw.
Foot pronation is a condition where the ankles roll in excessively, creating an excessive or imbalanced torsion that translate to the knees, hips, back, neck and jaw.
Foot supination is a condition where the foot rolls out.
Ninety-five percent of people with one of these problems over-pronate, rather than over-supinate.
How many people do you know who have had hip and knee replacements or have chronic back problems?
