Allergies are a hypersensitivity to a foreign substance, a harmless substance to most people, that make your immune system react as if if it were a disease.
According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, about 50 million people in the United States experience some type of allergy each year.
It is the 6th leading cause of chronic illness.
Allergies produce inflammation inside and outside of the body and can affect your ability to function.
In a nutshell, allergies are no joke.
Environmental Allergies: Often airborne, these allergies are very common resulting in inflammation in your respiratory system, runny nose, weepy or itchy eyes, sneezing, and dark circles around your eyes.
Involuntary contractions of a muscle that are typically harmless and temporary but can be very painful.
A muscle spasm is different from a muscle twitch.
A spasm is usually an intense, sharp pain but can also appear as a hard lump in your muscle tissue.
When a muscle spasm occurs in your back, it can be debilitating, affecting your concentration and ability to sleep.
You may also experience referring pain in your upper legs, low, middle, upper back, and neck, and into your head.
You may also have trouble sitting or standing for any period of time, trouble bending down, and trouble standing up.
A bulging disc occurs when the inner layer of a spinal disc protrudes toward the outer layer.
A herniated disc occurs when the outer layer of a spinal disc protrudes outside of the exterior of the disc itself.
Your spinal discs or intervertebral discs are fibrous, gel-filled shock absorbers that provide cushion between your vertebrae ("back bones").
These discs are what allow your spine to bend and move without pain.
A bulging disc is when one or more of your spinal discs are misaligned or protruding from where they should be.
Pain that occurs on one or both sides of the skull or face, may be isolated or radiate, and range from dull to throbbing to sharp.
While it may feel like it, a headache is not pain in the brain.
The brain itself cannot feel pain as it has no pain nerves, but it can tell you where other parts of your body might hurt.
Most head pain happens in the muscle and nerves in the head, neck, or face.
Some headaches may also have a genetic factor.
Headaches or head pain is difficult to describe for many people, but common sensations include throbbing, squeezing, constant, and unrelenting.
According to a study, knee pain is very common affecting 25% of all adults, accounting for 4 million doctor visits per year.
Perhaps surprisingly, the knee is also the largest joint in the body and one of the most complex.
It is a compound hinge joint allowing flexion and extension of the lower leg, as well as slight internal and external rotation.
When your knee hurts, simple everyday activities such as standing and walking can become difficult or impossible.
You may notice that you have trouble going up or downstairs or getting out of bed.
