Coyle Chiropractic
Scoliosis is defined as a curvature of the spine that is more than 5. Scoliosis can cause pain, discomfort and malfunctioning joints which can lead to early arthritis. In severe cases, it can compromise lung function and put pressure on internal organs such as the heart. At Coyle Chiropractic, we use modern day chiropractic techniques to detect and correct this often times debilitating condition.

Patient 1: A 19 year-old female presented with low back pain on her left side. She had been treated by a local physical therapist without results. Initial x-rays revealed a 18 scoliosis. She received 24 chiropractic adjustments over 12 weeks. After treatment her scoliosis was reduced to 6 and she was no longer experiencing lower back pain. Patient 2: A 40 year-old female presented with chronic low back pain on the right.

X-rays revealed a 14 scoliosis. The patient received 24 chiropractic adjustments over 12 weeks. By the end of the treatment the patient was pain free and follow up x-rays showed the scoliosis was reduced to 6.

Did you know that chiropractic dates back to the time of Hippocrates?
He believed that if the spine was misaligned, it greatly contributed to the health of an individual.
The modern day school of chiropractic dates back to 1895, when Dr. Daniel Palmer adjusted a man that had lost his hearing 17 years prior.
The story goes that prior to losing his hearing the man had heard something pop in his back.
Upon the adjustment of the man's misaligned vertebrae his hearing greatly improved.
While the medical community criticized this new technique for healing the body, the people who followed in these footsteps found an amazing new way of dealing with illness and disease.
Dr. Coyle uses several different chiropractic techniques depending on each particular patient's needs.
We are a family practice and treat patients of all ages from infants to great grandparents.
We also have X-ray facilities on-site.
Our massage therapists are Julie and Kristin.
They are available for 30 minute or one hour massages.
They specialize in deep tissue massage therapy but can also provide other types of therapeutic massage, as well as relaxation massage.
Massage involves acting on and manipulating the body with pressure - structured, unstructured, stationary, or moving - tension, motion, or vibration, done manually or with mechanical aids.
As a convenience to us and our patients, we now offer our Patient History Forms online.
We ask that you print these forms out and take the time to fill it in prior to your visit to our office.
This saves us time and allows you to see our doctor faster.
If you'd like to make an appointment, please call us or send us an email using our Contact Page.
Chiropractic can help reduce the severity and the frequency of your allergies.
Chiropractic does not work like an anti-histamine as a direct, short term relief from allergies.
Chiropractic allows your body to be better equipped to fight against allergies.
Allergies are a reaction by your immune system to an allergen (substances that normally have no effect on people) resulting in sneezing, coughing, congestion, hives, rashes, and in severe cases, seizure and anaphylactic shock.
These symptoms are caused by the histamines your immune system creates in an attempt to protect your body against the allergen.
