Schwabe Chiropractic
My hope is that this website is helpful in showing you more about chiropractic care and my approach. In today's world, I believe we need to be proactive and to be our own advocates in our health and wellness. I hope to facilitate your healing, educate you along the way, and give you some tools to use on your own. My goal is to help you reach yours!

People seek chiropractic care for many reasons and some people respond better to certain types of treatments. That's why I have a variety of treatment approaches depending on you. At Schwabe Chiropractic, we work together to create a unique plan of action to meet your specific needs whether that be training for a triathlon, getting out to play with your kids, or simply staying as healthy as possible.

We are out of network with all insurance programs and payment is due at the time of service.
We are happy to provide a receipt that you may submit to your insurance company after your visit.
Please let us know if you have any questions and we're happy to go through it with you.

An adjustment is the primary chiropractic method.
The chiropractic adjustment involves applying a very specific corrective technique to restore normal joint function to the spine or to other joints of the body from shoulders to fingers and hips to toes depending on your needs.
Chiropractic care at Schwabe Chiropractic is a holistic hands-on approach.
I've been doing bodywork for over 20 years, so these hands are well trained!
I feel your spine, joints, and your tissues to determine which joints aren't moving as they should (dysfunction), areas of abnormal muscle tone, tenderness, or tissue inflammation.
There are many forms of Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM).
Dr. Schwabe has training in Graston Technique and in other concepts such as FAKTR (Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab).
She combines the latest research in treating the kinetic chain as well as treating in the position of pain, restriction, and during motion.
IASTM effectively breaks down scar tissue and fascial restrictions.
This technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments with beveled edges to specifically detect and treat areas of soft tissue fibrosis, adhesion, or chronic inflammation.
Doctor of Chiropractic, Kenzo Kase, developed Kinesiotaping in Japan in the 70's.
In the 80's, he began to use elastic therapeutic taping with his own patients and moved it into the sports world.
The whole world took note in 2008 when volleyball player, Kerri Walsh, wore it in the Olympics.
Today, it seems we see Kinesiology tape everywhere we turn.
Unlike athletic tape, which is designed to restrict movement of an injured area and must be applied with a fair amount of pressure and in several layers, Kinesiology tape is flexible, breathable, and doesn't constrict.
Cupping is a treatment used in Eastern Medicine since ancient times.
At Schwabe Chiropractic, we use cupping for myofascial release and healing.
Cups are applied and gently suction and decompress the tissue lifting connective tissue layers.
They can simply be left on the skin, glided, or used statically while you move your body such as the arm.
Cupping can have many benefits to aid your recover such as improve blood flow to the area, attracting immune cells to increase the repair and recovery process so that inflammation can go down while clearing out waste, stretching and separating fascial restrictions, reduce muscle tightness and trigger points.
