Walks of Life Chiropractic in Colorado Springs, CO specifically focuses on the treatment of equine chiropractic. Our goal is to incorporate chiropractic treatment-a noninvasive, drug-free approach to medicine-into the lives of patients, so they may obtain their wellness goals. At Walks of Life Chiropractic, we use holistic methods while providing the best care possible.

To achieve this, we provide care that is based on subjective findings, objective data, a detailed history, and a clinical exam. These give us a full picture of the factors affecting the patient's health. Our practice acknowledges the importance of patient education, so we help owners of our animal patients find and obtain their health goals. Walks of Life Chiropractic treats patients of any age and is focused on evidence-based chiropractic care.

We utilize appropriate adjusting and modality techniques as determined by research and treatment guidelines. Typically, animal chiropractic is used in conjunction with your animal's regular veterinary care.
Services
Dr. Stephanie Parent is a Colorado state licensed human and animal chiropractor.
Dr. Parent is also certified in animal chiropractic by the Animal Chiropractic Certification Commission (ACCC) of the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA).
After serving active duty in the United States Air Force, Dr. Parent attended Texas A&M in Galveston, TX, earning a BS in Marine Biology.
Right after graduation, she began her studies at Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena TX, and during her last year, attended ACES (Animal Chiropractic Education Source) in Meridian, TX.
Diversified Technique (DT) is a chiropractic adjustment or spinal manipulation technique used by the majority of chiropractors.
It is known as one of the most common adjustment techniques and used to restore proper alignment and movement in the spine and joints.
A chiropractor will make low-amplitude, high-velocity thrusts (using their hands or sometimes a table or block) to the spine, restoring the bio-mechanical function and correcting any subluxations.
A subluxation is a slight misalignment of the vertebrae, regarded in most chiropractic theory as the cause of many health problems throughout the body.
Dr. Parent is Certified in Animal Chiropractic by the Animal Chiropractic Certification Commission (ACCC) of the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA).
Equine chiropractic care is an alternative, drugless method of health care used in conjunction with your regular veterinary care.
Just like people, animals may experience back pain, or need to seek out chiropractic care for more energy, improved sports or work performance, for better resistance to disease, and to help insure a drug-less life.
First and foremost, animal chiropractic care is not intended to replace traditional veterinary medicine.
Complementary care is a type of care that works with your veterinarian and certainly not instead of them.
The professional animal chiropractor should seek cooperation and perhaps even permission and/or assistance from the primary care physician, the veterinarian.
Performance animals are athletes.
An athlete's performance is based on it's ability to bend, twist, turn, stretch, flex or in some way move in a very specific manner.
We understand that illness, emergencies, flat tires, and bad weather do occur.
We ask our patients to give us 48 hours' notice whenever possible, if they cannot keep an appointment.
This allows us time to fill our schedule with other patients who may be waiting.
Cancellation or rescheduling of an appointment less than 48 hours and up to 24 hours may or may not be considered a broken appointment; it will be at our discretion.
Providing services in a timely manner is critical to accomplish that goal.
